Kinesiology Schools Australia offers the highest
quality Kinesiology training available and is accredited with the
International College of Professional Kinesiology Practice.
Unlike
many colleges, our emphasis is on Kinesiology and Kinesiology alone. All
our lecturers are high level Specialised Kinesiology Practitioners with
years of experience to pass on to students. This is a guarantee
we are proud of.
Some
colleges offer Kinesiology qualifications where students will become
massage therapists with a little Kinesiology knowledge. Kinesiology
Schools Australia are the specialists in the industry. We only offer
quality Kinesiology courses and we know our graduates will be sought after
practitioners with the knowledge and skills required to be successful in a
Kinesiology practice.
KSA does
not just offer Kinesiology techniques. We offer a successful protocol that
has been proven through time by many practitioners. The quality
techniques, high level practitioner lecturers and proven protocol guide
our graduates to success. This is why we are the best at what we do.
If you
want a successful Kinesiology practice Kinesiology Schools Australia is
here for you. You can search for other colleges but there is no need to
look any further. This is the course for you.
It's official, the Diploma in Kinesiology has
arrived.
|
In February 2007 the
Australian Quality Training Framework, the
body responsible for nationally recognised training, endorsed Kinesiology as part of the new Health
Training Package (HLT07). This means students can now study and receive an
official Diploma in Kinesiology if they study with a Registered Training Organization
that is licensed to teach the diploma.
More and more health funds are asking for a Diploma as
a minimum qualification. It is recommended that students enrol in a
recognised training provider such as Kinesiology Schools Australia (KSA).
|
|
|
Kinesiology Schools Australia and its seven campuses are
one of only a few training providers providing the Diploma in
Kinesiology. Kinesiology Schools Australia teaches the Professional
Kinesiology Programme written by Dr Bruce Dewe. This high quality training
has been taught around the world since the 1980's and was re-written in
recent years so that students can learn Kinesiology in a simple easy to
learn, integrated method. There is no better Kinesiology course.
Our
seven
campuses for your convenience are in Brisbane, Gold Coast, Byron Bay, Sydney,
Melbourne (Hawthorn and Narre Warren) and Hervey Bay.
KSA provides high quality training with high quality
lecturers. All our lecturers MUST be practicing Kinesiologists and be
qualified as a faculty member with the International College of
Professional Kinesiology Practice. This ensures all students receive the
best training available.

History of Kinesiology
Kinesiology was the brainchild of Dr George Goodheart DC from New
York, USA back in the early 1960’s. He gathered a group of exceptional associates to teach and further research this wonderful health modality known as Applied Kinesiology
(AK).
One of these associates was Dr John Thie DC who in the early 1970’s put together Touch For Health
(TFH), a version of AK for the general public. TFH has been taught to millions of people worldwide to use on family and friends and was the start of a much expanded and widely researched modality now known as KINESIOLOGY or Specialised Kinesiology.
Development
of Kinesiology Courses and Training in Australia
|
|
In
the late 1970’s from the research of Dr Bruce Dewe, founder of the International
College of Professional
Kinesiology Practice, came the birth of the
Professional Kinesiology Programme (PKP). By far the most advanced and
complete Kinesiology modality presently available. In 2000 the
Professional Kinesiology Programme was re-written to suite the modern easy
learning methods expected today.
In Australia the Professional Kinesiology Programme is broken up into
three courses.
• The Certificate IV in Kinesiology, which is part of the Nationally
Recognised Training format,
• The nationally accredited Diploma in Kinesiology and
• The Complete Professional Kinesiology Programme known internationally as the International Diploma of Professional Kinesiology Practice.
* Graduates of the Certificate IV in Kinesiology Programme qualify to register with
the Kinesiology Associations to register as a practitioner.

With the help of Dr Dewe, Kinesiology has developed and improved into an outstanding health care system.
Kinesiology is practised in hundreds of countries world
wide as an independent modality and is complementary to both Western medicine and natural medicine alike. Kinesiology brings together the ancient Chinese philosophies with acupressure, massage, counselling and the knowledge of the modern day. It uses the body’s own bio-computer (muscle monitoring) to provide feedback to the practitioner
which reveals an accurate picture of the problem at hand.
The Triangle of Health is used as our model to describe how the ‘being’ (whole person) must be in balance. For a healthy and happy existence the physical, bio-chemical and emotional sides of our life must be in harmony with one another, hence the term ‘holistic health care’. For example, if you feel anxious about speaking in front of a group of people (emotional), butterflies in the tummy may occur (chemical reaction), this causes discomfort to your body (physical).
